trains in Japan are THAT fast

I think this is caused by slow scanline processing on the iPhone cam ( just guessing here). I wonder if the same problem still exists on the 3GS.

Windows Explorer on the iPhone

Well, not really. I was browsing through stuff on Google News. From some news site, a dialog box opened, warning that I had a virus and asked if I wanted to clean it or not.

Yeah, right.

After pressing the Cancel button (I don’t think it mattered which one you pressed), the following page appeared. The bottom part is animated so that it “seems” to be scanning.

[004/365] Nightlight

004

City’s Nightlight. Heaven’s Nightlight.

Went bike riding and photowalking near the Arakawa River.  I got some nice long exposure shots of the river and the cityscape.

Tomorrow, work starts. I fear I won’t be able to take photos again. Good luck to us all!

[003/365] Body Clock

body clock

My body clock is fried (grilled?). And vacation is almost over. I was up until 10am this morning before I hit bed.

I’m gonna have to force myself to sleep in an hour or so.

On the other hand, I’ve almost finished organizing the photos for last year. Almost. There is still a big batch of photos from the Asakusa Samba parade that I have yet to look at.

[002/365] Commute

commuteCentral Gate, Ueno Station

Aileen, a friend coming back from a holiday trip to Yamagata asked to be fetched from the Ueno station. The handle to her huge huge bag broke and she needed some help carrying it. I needed the exercise too, so I walked from Minowa Station to Ueno Station.

I borrowed Meema’s fisheye lens and took a few shots along the way and on the station. While waiting for Aileen at the ticket gate, I played around with long exposure shots. This is 2.5seconds at f/22.6, handheld.

There was a more interesting shot: a man was standing still amongst a blurred crowd of commuters. But I was too far from him (he was inside the gate) and the wide angle of the fisheye made him really small. Oh, well.
